West Ham top of the league when it comes to bespoke style
Apsley Tailors are now in their fifth season as official club tailor to West Ham United, a partnership which has seen teamwork, dedication and attention to detail bring the best results. Each season, Apsley create beautiful bespoke suits for the first-team players and deliver them directly to the squad. This is precisely what happened last week at Boleyn Ground when West Ham players took delivery of their stunning new club suits. It was a particularly special occasion this year. As you know, this is the team's final season in Upton Park, and we at Apsley feel privileged to be a part of history. Club chairmen, David Sullivan and David Gold, were in attendance with us at the ground, as was vice-chair, Karren Brady. David Gold had this to say about it being the club's final season at Boleyn Ground: "My memories go back to when I was a young boy when most of this stadium was wooden. It's going to be a very sad time when we leave Upton Park, but we have to remember that we're going on to an amazing new stadium, the Olympic stadium, one of the world's greatest venues. It's going to be a proud time, but a disappointing time when we leave here."
We also spoke to the West Ham team about being a part of club history. Doneil Henry said, "Finding out the history behind the club and how many players have strived out there, the coaches and managers of the past… It means a lot, to the fans especially. But I think we're moving in the right direction. I'm optimistic about the future."

Now onto the suits… Designed by Apsley's master tailor, Arshad Mahmood, and former West Ham captain, Kevin Nolan, they are made of a super fine English wool fabric in a stunning midnight blue with red lining. They are set off by pale blue cotton shirts in the finest Egyptian cotton and blue ties adorned with the club logo. We're sure you'll agree the players look very smart and super stylish.
Adrián had this to say about his suit: "It's comfortable and a good shape for the guys. [Being fitted by Apsley] was nice; they make the suits personalised for us. This is a great suit." As Doneil Henry said, "A suit tells a lot about a man. It can show another side to the professional – sharp on the field and sharp off it."
