2016 - what a year!
I've been looking back on some of my favourite memories, people and suits from 2016.
One of our shining moments at Apsley Tailors was dressing the Crystal Palace FC team for their biggest match yet - the FA Cup Final at the iconic Wembley Stadium. What a day! To see the Pride of South London at Wembley was hugely exciting. The players all looked great in their bespoke Apsley suits and shirts.
The score went against Palace in the end, but when it comes to look and style, Palace won the Apsley Suit Cup by a landslide.
In May 2016, Apsley once again partnered with international Formula One event organisers, Amber Lounge, for their ultimate Day & Night Lifestyle Experience at the Monaco Grand Prix. The event saw F1 drivers donating their time to premiere Apsley’s brand new, bespoke Monaco Collection as part of a prestigious fashion show, with all proceeds going to the Amber Foundation.
In September, Apsley attended the Historic Royal Palaces Wedding Showcase at Banqueting House, entitled 'A Modern Fairy Tale.'
On the catwalk were a selection of wedding gowns from Sassi Holford Bridal Design, bridesmaid dresses from twobirds bridesmaid... and bespoke wedding suits from Apsley Tailors ourselves.
It was a truly stunning night. Such an honour to have been invited and a delight to have showcased some of our finest bespoke wedding attire.
In July, Apsley held a fabulous celebration of the Classic Le Mans race, right here at our Pall Mall showroom.
Thank you to Paul Stephens Porsche for the stunning cars on display, Stock & Bailey Catering for the delightful bespoke canapés, and all of our guests for joining us on such a beautiful night. It was great to see so many of Apsley's dearest clients and friends.
What a year we have had! Thank you to each and every one of Apsley's clients and friends for your continued faith in our bespoke service. Your patronage and support are very important to us. We wish you a very happy and prosperous new year, and I hope to see you in our Pall Mall showroom in 2017.
