Is the Suit dying?

The question of whether the Suit is dying is a debatable one. With the dress code in many offices becoming more and more relaxed and with the increased move towards working from home, it is without a doubt that suits are worn less often. However, the need to look smart and sharp in the board room and for certain client meetings is still important, and nothing does that better than a well fitted suit.

We asked our Master Tailor and CEO, Arshad if he thought the Suit was dying. "No, not at all. Although, we might wear suits less often, there are and will always be a number of occasions when a suit is needed. The power and confidence that a well fitted suit can give an individual is like no other item of clothing. When you have an important meeting or a special function, you want to feel powerful and confident...so the need for a great fitted suit will always be there."

We have seen the trend with our clients, move from wanting hard wearing, durable, every day type fabrics to finer, softer, more elegant looking fabrics, in their words "they want something special and different as they don't wear suits as often". This trend has seen us look more at the fabrics that we offer to your clients. Each and every fabric supplier and cloth that we offer you, is hand selected by Arshad himself. At Apsley, we guarantee the best service, the highest quality fabrics and exceptional tailoring.
